Description

Nate Reifke aka “Salty Timbers” has been doing art for Sector 9 since he was attending UCSD in the early 2000’s. We had been printing stickers for the surf club there and so many good designs were coming through for these stickers it got our attention. Before we knew it Nate became the first in house graphic artist at the factory. He continued to produce lots of great art over the years until eventually moving on to his own gig. Fortunately he still has the time to put pen to paper for us and get lost at sea for awhile.

HOW TO RIDE IT

Carving

If you like boards that hold their line well in turns, and don't slide out very much, then keep an eye out for this designation. That doesn't mean that they won't slide at all, rather that they are typically set up with lipped wheels that grip better while maintaining speed.

Commuter

Just about every board we make is suitable for getting your from Point A to B, but boards designated as Commuter are typically easier to push because they sit lower to the ground and are well suited to travel long distances... or just get you to work without having to fight traffic. They typically have longer wheel bases, and larger diameter wheels to maintain speed as well.

WE'RE BACK!

Sector 9 has recently been reacquired by its Original Founders! The plan is to do exactly what we’ve done in the past but hopefully better. Just like we started in the ‘93, a bunch of friends getting together to make great products and have as much fun as we can in the process. We intend to keep this attitude towards skateboarding as long as possible and pass it on to the next generation. Come join the Revival!
