Ben Gravy’s life revolves around fun and chasing the dream—and luckily for us, he brings us along for the ride through his vlog. His continuous quest for stoke is something we all get to share in.

Over the years, Ben has released several board models with Sector 9, but this one stands out. This time, he went with a user-friendly shape that reflects his love for soft tops—boards that guarantee a good time in just about any conditions. The mellow concave and single kick of the Gravy Strand Cosmos mirror that same playful, accessible vibe—only in skateboard form.

The vision behind the Cosmos graphic is rooted in Ben’s unshakable drive to surf the world’s most remote novelty waves—and be the first to do it. What’s more remote than surfing through space on distant planets? Hopefully, they have pineapples. To bring this wild vision to life, Ben teamed up with the incredibly talented Owen Murphy, aka One Drop Design. Owen’s experience creating poster art for legendary bands—like Dead and Company, Dave Matthews Band, Billy Strings, and more—made him the perfect fit for this psychedelic, surf-meets-space concept. Fun fact: although they didn’t know each other, Ben and Owen actually went to the same high school!

Ben’s always been fueled by challenges, and nothing shows that better than his world record-setting 7 Seas in 7 Days mission. Where others see the impossible, Ben only sees the finish line. He sums up his purpose best in his own words:

“What I really want people to understand about what I do is that I want people to believe they can achieve anything they want—no matter what anybody else thinks, no matter if they think it’s impossible. I really love the overarching idea that we can do anything we set our minds to.”

As a company that was once told we’d be lucky to sell a few boards to our friends, we couldn’t agree more. Much love, Ben—keep inspiring the journey!
