We could not have scripted a better way for this race to go. With Sector 9 riders claiming 4 out of the 4 semi-finalists spots it was a party before it even ended! Congratulations to Jimmy Riha for beating out his teammates and taking home the $5000!
The 3rd Annual Turkey Slide Jam and Safety Clinic was a perfect send-off before the Thanksgiving holiday. We were very pleased to see so many up and coming skaters who were concerned with safety and road awareness. The Redbull Steep Crest quietly went off last week in San Francisco as a test event for future contests. We were hyped to have the Downhill Division's Louis Pilloni, Chance Gaul, and Ross Druckrey invited to compete. Watch from the eyes of Louis Pilloni as he claims 2nd place in the downhill race.
The Downhill Division was recently in the Pacific Northwest for the 6th Annual Cathlamet Downhill Corral. Before the skateboard festival, the crew meet up with Daddies Board Shop at Mt. Tabor for a demo day of the new Sector 9 lineup. Team riders A.J. Haiby, Chance Gaul, Jake Wilkinson, Georgia Bontorin, Harrison DePass, Louis Pilloni, and Tibs Parise grabbed a variety of setups and rallied the closed road with the locals.
The Day Of The Dead brought about the first coming of the Halloween Ghoul Duel at Ocean Beach Skatepark. Blood, guts, and bananas were only the start as the park race and best trick contest got dicey! Join us next year for more BBQed animal flesh and sketchy skatepark shenanigans!
